Closet Doors by Protyus A. Gendher
Closet Doors
The closet doors opened up and swallowed me whole again
While an angry mob in red-ass hats shove my ass back in
All that we had achieved to make us whole, and then
The tide turned so quickly, once again violent
And I know that it was never safe to walk along the street
Being me or those who came before me
But in some places the system would support me
And now it’s all abhorring
Because the bigots are emboldened
Their leader outright told them
It should be open season
On anyone like me
Ever wonder how the heck I got this way? Start Here
