A Tremendous Loss
While our country has sat watch to see if the Crypt Keeper will emerge from his tomb and see his shadow ensuring 6 more weeks of dystopia, we collectively suffered an actual loss.
Minority representation in American media has been sparse at best, often times with the only minority roles available being derogatory and making harmful stereotypes even worse.
I’m certain that many of my white compadres will only recognize him in the role of Kicking Bird, from Dances with wolves, but my admiration and appreciation for Graham Greene runs much deeper. Don’t get me wrong, I loved him as Kicking Bird, and he brought depth, warmth, and wisdom to one of my all-time favorite characters.
Graham Greene also excelled in comedic scripts, like his appearance in Maverick. Really, I’m in awe of his filmography, and I hope you’ll join me in exploring some of the titles I’ve not yet seen.
Today, I want to make sure you don’t miss one of my favorite Graham Greene characters.
