VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IMMEDIATELY
November 16, 2025
The City of Loveland continues to step up its efforts to eradicate the homeless.
– They are writing trespassing tickets to get around the prohibition against enforcing the encampment
– They fabricate the charges
– The unhoused person is unable to make it to court, or pay the fine, and is jailed in a for profit jail that they will also be charged for staying in.
– While jailed they miss other court dates for fabricated tickets, and accrue even more charges.
– These events get them banned from the Loveland Resource Center
– Despite it being illegal, the City then claims they are refusing shelter and can enforce the ban.
– The rules for getting banned are NOT consistent, and are used as a weapon against the unhoused population.
– People have NOWHERE to go. They are required to remove all of their belongings everyday and keep ALL of their items with them at all times. — Nobody is allowed to ever step away from ANY of their items, even if they have designated a friend who is watching over their belongings.

-They aren’t allowed to block the sidewalk, so they have to keep their stacks as vertical as possible. Many people end up in the same pile, because there is just nowhere to put things. (Take note of the anti-homeless architecture, how exposed they are to traffic, and how unmanageable this life is.)

-Everyone is just stacked on one another with nowhere to put anything despite Allison Hade’s assurances that they provide storage at the LRC.
-Being given no storage, and forced to either poke out onto the sidewalk, the roadway, or a private property, they are then given trespassing and obstruction tickets.
– This creates a machine of constant tickets and warrants, so any time the cops appear they are creating legal trouble for the unhoused, often breaking the law to do so.
It Gets Worse
This might be repetitious for some people, but we have to put the pieces of this puzzle together.
– The City is contracting AMBIPAR to conduct regular HOMELESS SWEEPS under the banner of city clean up.
– The truck comes with LPD enforcers and they snag every item that doesn’t have someone there to fight for it.
– Many volunteers have recognized the items being hauled off as trash, not to be returned to the residents, as donations from earlier in the week.
– Through this behavior, the LPD and City Management are actively performing homeless sweeps against the law, breaking the Fourth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution, The Colorado State Constitution, and sections of International and Disability law, in addition to Loveland City Ordinances.
– There have been at least two documented sweeps that I’m aware of using the AMBIPAR crew.
– They are varying the dates and times of the sweeps.
– By law sweeps cannot occur without at LEAST 72 hours notice.
-Receipts must be provided for all property removed.
– The unhoused must be given a way to retrieve their property.
Last Night
– People driving by on Lincoln, pelted the unhoused with water bottles from moving vehicles.
– Police did not arrive until after 8am to take statements about the event, knowing that at that time, the composition of the group onsite would not be the same as those who were assaulted, enabling them to trash the report.
– The LPD DID manage to show up around 2am and ticket everyone on site.
-Some were given multiple tickets.
– The unhoused did NOTHING to prompt this ticketing other than exist.
We NEED You – AND ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS
Guardians
– We need to create a 24/7 presence at Camp Hope LRC.
– We need at least 2 Guardian advocates in the field at the LRC at all times.
– Volunteers need to be trained for safety/self defense/human trafficking.
– We will need to continue this presence indefinitely.
– The City is getting more creative, and they are blitzing more often, and round-the-clock.
– Ideally, I need 5-7 dedicated, well-regulated advocates to lead this team.
– This team is there to document events and offer moral and community support. We are NOT there to interfere.
Messengers
– We need Messenger advocates to work the “phone tree.”
– These volunteers will bridge communication between the field and the bigger team.
– Messengers will also help gather and log notes/files from the field.
Transport
– We have volunteers who may need rides to-from the field.
– There are times we need supplies in the field, and the Guardian can’t leave.
– In the event of an all-hands-on-deck, Transport advocates can enhance our presence on the scene.
Food
– There is a continual need to feed people.
– Several groups are working to feed people, but we need more.
Street Education
– Working to keep the unhoused community informed about
– Tactics being used,
– Which laws and rights are at play (not LEGAL advice, just sharing public knowledge).
– Current developments with the City, etc.
– Develop and deliver ongoing training for the unhoused AND the community.
Outreach
– Cultivate relationships with other helping organizations.
– Work closely with Media to create guides to these resources.
Media
– Create educational guides, community tools, visuals, and handouts.
– Draft daily press releases.
– Distribute to social media.
Cutting Room
– Organize, Store, Refine, and Polish footage from the field.
– Work with Media to create engaging social media memes and videos.
Print Shop
– Print out items for distribution.
– Compile handouts of all kinds.
Recruitment
-Help bring people into the cause.
– Tell interested parties who to contact, and how to get started.
– Convey the mission to the community
Performers
– Join a troupe of activist performers to push the boundaries of public comment and impactful activism.
So, ya. We need you.

This situation is rapidly unfolding and I just want everyone to know how much we appreciate the willingness and flexibility of our volunteers. There is room for everyone to make a difference here. (Even those who can’t leave the house.)
