When people talk about “planetary consciousness,” they usually mean it metaphorically — a poetic way of describing Earth’s interconnectedness. But the scientific record shows something deeper: Earth behaves like a coherent, self‑regulating, threshold‑driven field. It maintains stability, responds to perturbation, reorganizes after collapse, and exhibits emergent intelligence across scales.
