Dana, as soon as the vote failed to adjourn the meeting to avoid hearing from constituents altogether on this matter, wouldn’t allow a single point of order before moving to quell the people’s voice, saying, “I want to make a motion to move general comment after the whole reason why were here tonight… my whole reason is is we’re here to and let’s get to the vote- let’s get it on.”
He also spoke over Mayor Marsh’s attempts to regain order, instead of allowing her to do her job, just so he could claim he was failing to do it, demanding she either “regain control or put us in recess,” while HE was the one talking over her when she spoke.
Then he tried to maneuver so that nobody in the public comment sections would be allowed to discuss the issue of homelessness, as another silencing mechanism. He did everything possible to avoid letting constituents speak.
He did this despite the description on the agenda.
He was FIERCE – ly eugenic, and tried to use every means possible to undermine the voices of Loveland. He spent 9 minutes, confusing the situation, and wasting everyone’s time, just to avoid having to do his job.
And he knew it wouldn’t work, but he also knew how disorienting, flustering, and frustrating his behavior is, and he knew how demeaning his disregard for human life is. He was not only trying to silence constituents, he was intentionally making it harder for them to maintain decorum, because this is life-or-death.
This isn’t leadership.
This isn’t problem solving.
This is a willful refusal to represent.
This is passive eugenics.
He continued to dig his heels in using any excuse possible.
