Every song I release carries a little piece of my story, but Someone New feels like it carries something bigger — something meant to move beyond me. When I wrote it, I wasn’t thinking about charts or algorithms or even listeners. I was thinking about the moment I finally felt myself returning, the moment I realized healing had actually worked. That moment felt so rare, so precious, so improbable that I couldn’t keep it contained. I wanted to send that feeling outward.

In the world, this song becomes more than a personal turning point. It becomes a small offering, a bright flare in a time when so many people are exhausted, overwhelmed, or convinced they’ll never feel whole again. The innocence in the vocals, the bubblegum shimmer, the girl‑group sweetness – all of it is intentional. It’s a reminder that joy doesn’t have to be complicated to be real. Sometimes the simplest melodies carry the deepest hope.

What surprised me most was how naturally the line “I wish this for everybody” became the heart of the song. It wasn’t planned. It arrived like a blessing that insisted on being spoken.
